At Harlem Book Company our mission is to provide our community with a premiere in-person and online book buying experience by curating a catalogue of impactful stories by diverse authors.

We’re dedicated to making books accessible. Not only do we stock the newest, most sought after titles, but we’re experts in sourcing used and rare books—and with our pop-up shops we meet readers where they are.

We know that stories offer common ground and bind readers together. To that end, we’re committed to creating and maintaining a spirit and a space of cultural exchange and gathering in our community.
